Office Ergonomics Awareness

This certified online course is given in accordance with the guidelines of the Safety Health and Welfare Act (General Applications) 2007. By law, anyone using a visual display unit for more than 1 hour per day must have an office ergonomics assessment carried out. This course covers the topics relevant to setting up and maintaining a safe digital screen equipment workplace in an office environment.

Assessment

This course contains an online self-assessment at the end of the course, followed by an online certification exam. The self-assessment does not count towards the final examination marks but simply gives you an idea of how you are doing. On successfully passing the final certification exam you will be automatically issued with a passport certificate. Your full certificate will be issued together with your workplace assessment report.

The course can be taken at any time and any place so all that is required is an internet connection and a computer. Completing the course will use approximately 15MB of data which is roughly the same as watching a 5-minute YouTube video. You can complete the course on any pc, laptop or tablet device.

Other Information

You do not have to complete the online course in one sitting, and you can also break it into small chunks if you wish. Should you have to leave the course unexpectedly, it will remember where you were the last time you left it. How long it takes you to complete the online course really depends on you, but 60-90 minutes is a good guideline.
